Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas ( often abbreviated as GTA: SA) is an action-adventure video game developed by Rockstar North, and published by Rockstar games. The game is the 3rd 3D game in the Grand Theft Auto series, the 5th on console release and the 7th game overall. Originally released for the PlayStation 2 in October 2004, [2] the game was later ported to Xbox and Microsoft Windows, now the new Android release and received high acceptance and sales on all three platforms, and got the highest game sales record on the PlayStation 2. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is followed by Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories and preceded by Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
